Mold Testing Houston
Houston’s licensed, independent mold testing company. We don’t perform remediation, so our test results have no conflict of interest, just honest answers about what’s in your home
Image of Mold Testing Houston Founder Ran Bozaglo
Ran founded Mold Testing Houston in 2017 with one rule: never combine testing with remediation. After seeing too many Houston families pressured into expensive cleanup jobs they didn't need, he built the company around independent assessment, period.
Today, Ran personally oversees every inspection report MTH produces. He holds Mold Assessment Consultant license MAC1839, and the company operates under Texas TDLR Mold Assessment Company license ACO1245. Every inspector on the team holds an individual MAC license, the senior credential for writing mold protocols and certifying clearance in Texas.
The independence runs all the way to the lab. Every sample MTH collects is analyzed by EMSL Analytical, an AIHA-LAP accredited laboratory, so the science behind each report is third-party too, not something we control.
Built for Houston
Houston’s humid subtropical climate, slab construction, attic ventilation patterns, and hurricane and flood history create unique mold risks. We’ve inspected 3,000+ Houston properties since 2017, across every neighborhood and every type of structure. That experience matters when we walk through your home.
From post-Beryl flood inspections in Atascocita to slab-leak assessments in The Heights to attic mold in 1970s ranch homes in Spring, we know what Houston mold looks like, where it hides, and how it forms in this climate.
Texas licenses every mold assessor through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, and every license is public. Search either number on TDLR’s license lookup.
Look us up on TDLRChecking someone else? Make sure their license says Assessment, not Remediation. Texas bars one company from doing both on the same project.
Independent mold inspection from a TDLR-licensed Houston team. Same-day appointments often available. Transparent pricing, no surprises.
