The part most people miss is the outdoor control sample. A good assessor always takes a sample from outside your home on the same visit. That outdoor reading sets the baseline for what is normal in your area on that specific day. Without it, the indoor number means very little. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency states plainly that no federal limits or threshold values have been set for airborne mold or mold spores.
